About 4 weeks ago I started a depressive episode of Bipolar 2. I sank slowly down into a reminder of what my life used to be like most of the time. These days I go long periods without lapsing into hypomania or depression. Using all my tools in this journey through this depression, I was able to stay in contact with my friend from my self-defense classes. I sent her texts and she messaged me back. That was an important aspect of this trip through the blues. Staying in contact with friends. I was able to lessen the depression.

I tell people all the time that it’s okay to rest. I practice what I preach. I have worked hard in making these trips through depression something that I use to grow and change. I know how to do this. Through trial and error and study I have learned what works for me and what doesn’t. I know what works for most people and what does not. Through my work, I get to teach others what I have learned.

I am slowly coming out of the depression cycle. Yippee! I went to my first self-defense class after being out for a month. It was hard and I did it. You can too! If you are dealing with depression and need assistance in your journey. I can help. You won’t get therapy from me. Hopefully, you are already doing that. I can help you make the journey easier. I can be that person you stay in contact with through your process of depression. You don’t have to do it alone. I know how it is and I can help.

We will have a free, session to see if we connect. We can discuss what you want and what you want to change and what you want to stay the same. You will set goals or behaviors you want to achieve, and I will help you. You are not alone in this. You don’t have to walk the journey alone.

Hello,

Thanks for stopping by. Do you ever just look at someone you love or maybe an animal companion and you suddenly feel sad because you know that you may lose them someday? Do you try and think of ways that might make the loss easier just in case it happens? For me, it is my dog. She makes me so happy; I feel such love for her. We have helped each other through many hard times. I know the loss of her will be devastating to me. Sometimes, it is very hard to think about.

So, I stop thinking about it. I realize that there is no way I will prepare for the loss of my dog. There’s just no way. And so, I love her. I make each of her days the best I can give to her. I let her know she is loved. I try and make her life big. I try and give her joy. I love her while I have her. I will feel the grief when it happens, and I will move through it. I will get to the other side by moving through it. That’s kinda what we all can do.

How do you handle loss? I help people with loss. I help them feel the feelings and move through them. I help them know that they can feel the grief and survive it. Whether it is the loss of a person or a relationship, a job, or an animal companion I let people know that they are not alone and that it is very doable.

How can I help you? Don’t let money or lack thereof to get in your way. Don’t let it stop you. My number is 586 666 4191. This is a google number and you can identify who you are. A first name is enough. It doesn’t ring through to me but I will see when a call comes. Let me know how I can help.

Be well.

hello!

Thanks for checking in on my blog. Today, I got to practice self-forgiveness. I wanted to go work out today but, thought that the weather would be too hot. That is what the predictions said. Because I get migraines when I get hot or when I am in the sun, I avoid working out during hot weather. However, today was not as hot as what was predicted. So I didn’t go to my class when I could have.

I was disappointed in myself for not checking this morning so that if it was lower in temp I could go. I started to beat myself up. Saturdays are my favorite days to work out. Then, I realized that I would have other opportunities. I also realized that I was more concerned that my teachers would think that I was lazy than I was about actually missing the class! I made a conscious decision to let it go. I took some deep breaths and grounded myself. I reminded myself that the whole day was ahead for me to make as I chose to make it. This was my day and my time.

Self-forgiveness can be the hardest forgiveness to give. It takes practice and effort. Lots and lots of practice. I find that the more I forgive myself the more I can forgive others. We are adaptable creatures. We survive by adapting. Always remember, you have a choice. You are worthwhile and you deserve love. Forgiveness of ourselves makes it easier to forgive others. We forgive others as a gift to ourselves. WE are the ones that find peace when we forgive ourselves and others.

Do you struggle with the forgiveness of yourself or others? I can give you some ideas that will make it easier for you. Don’t let hardship stop you from reaching out. I have a sliding scale. During that first free 30-minute session, we will know more about how I can help in the best way possible. You are not alone.

Welcome! Thanks for being curious about my blog. Curiosity is a wonderful thing. Sometimes as children, we have it driven out of us. Sometimes it is labeled as immature or silly. But, I have found that not to be true.

My curiosity has always been an advantage to me. I like knowing how people think and feel. I like making connections. How about you? Are you curious? What makes you curious? What makes you want to know more? I work with creativity and curiosity when I work with clients. I love to see how they work things out and how their minds work. I love to see how their feelings show through their creativity. We are all creative in all kinds of ways. Creativity encourages the use of curiosity.

Right now, I am working on something that inspires my curiosity. I am exploring spray webbing. It is a medium I can use with my art. I love curiosity.
